Who said Townsville Wasn't Sensitive about Water Quality Improvement?
Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) specific to Townsville is ready to go.
WSUD in the Dry Tropics
Creek to Coral and partners developed a series of WSUD products as an integral part of the Black Ross (Townsville) Water Quality Improvement Plan. Council approved the WSUD products at its meeting on 28 June 2011.
WSUD products developed so far are:
- Water Sensitive Urban Design for the Coastal Dry Tropics (Townsville) - Design Objectives for Stormwater Management
- Water Sensitive Urban Design Factsheets for Stormwater Management for the Coastal Dry Tropics (Townsville)
- Water Sensitive Urban Design Technical Design Guidelines for Stormwater Management for the Coastal Dry Tropics (Townsville)
- Water Sensitive Urban Design Strategy Roadmap (Internet based site)
Further complementary WSUD products will be developed and training opportunities will be provided for Council staff and the development industry.
